ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee members are preparing budgets for Fiscal Year 2004. These will be presented for discussion over a series of three conference calls. The treasurer has just received the income projections for next year, and the assumption at this time is that the overall budget must be reduced by 30% from last year's budget.

Thierry Frey, Director for Chapters, presented the budget proposal for Chapters on today's conference call. On December 18, we will have budget presentations by the President and Director for Communications, and on January 8, 2003, we will have presentations by the Director for Publications, Director for Education, and Vice President.

The Executive Committee discussed potential ways to make public policy more visible to our community at the annual conference and also to include non-US policy issues. Alain Chesnais will get back to Bob Ellis, Public Policy Chair, with the suggestions.
