This proposal would take one section of HyperVis, namely visualization techniques, and fully develop it into an active learning resource. Thus the basic text would be first revised, and then enhanced by including:

... images and 3D models of the techniques
... self assessment questions
... FAQs and discussion groups
... links to other related material on the web

Visualization techniques is fundamental material to a course on visualization, it should benefit from the advanced features decribed above.

The aim is to provide a deep coverage of the 'active' facilities that can be added to make the material better for leaning. Produced at The University of Leeds by Miss Samantha Henderson and Dr Ken Brodlie.
