Message from the Chair

Animator, shader writer, programmer, producer, graphics researcher, compositor... All experts. All at home as members of our Los Angeles ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter. We stand as the largest professional ACM SIGGRAPH chapter on the planet. A collection of professionals who are committed, inspired and in search of the latest information with which to enhance our work.

Join us for our monthly meeting events. Los Angeles ACM SIGGRAPH is an ongoing story and we’d like to see you be part of it.

As we head into the second half of our 2008 - 2009 season, some news:

  • Welcome to our new website. Easier to use. Soon enabled with online membership application and renewals. Large thanks to Leonard Daly, Craig (XRay) Halperin, Sheriann Ki Sun Burnham, Mar Sorell, Sharon Eisenberg, Kathleen Milnes, and Harold Buchman for the planning and execution.
  • Join us Tuesday, December 9th for "The Making of BOLT" onsite at Disney.
  • Tuesday, January 13th a joint event with the Visual Effects Society featuring the work of the Henson Studios onsite at their Hollywood location.

The 2008-2009 program provides a wide variety of topics from the Computer Animation Festival (Sep), SIGGRAPH's 2007 Traveling Art Show (Nov-Jan), Disney's Bolt (Dec), 3D Web Environments (Apr), plus 6 other great meetings.

The Making of BOLT and 3D Stereoscopic Screening

All attendees must signup here by 6:30 PM on Sunday, December 7. This is a security requirement and does NOT reserve your seat. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis and seating is limited. Current and new members will receive priority admission starting at 6:30 PM. Doors open to non-members at 7:00 PM

Free on-site parking. All attendees must be on the list and present ID to enter.
Registration: 

This event is free to LA ACM SIGGRAPH and $20 for non-members. New members who sign up on site and pay the $40 annual membership fee (checks or cash only), do not have to pay the $20 admission fee.
