The talk will cover all aspects of MPC's pipeline, focusing on the tools and technology used to create the stunning visuals in Ridley Scott's Prometheus. MPC's Daniele Bigi will demonstrate how the team overcame a number of technical an creative challenges to create the some of the most memorable visual effects of 2012.

After completing a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design at Milan Polytechnic in 2002, Daniele decided to travel and collaborate with a number of different international animation and VFX studios including Fathom Studios (Atlanta, USA), Berlin Film Company (Berlin, Germany), Paprikaas (Bangalore, India), Aardman Animation Studio (Bristol, UK) and Framestore CFC (London, UK). In 2004 he co-published the book: “Animazione 3D” (Mondadori).
Daniele joined MPC in 2008 as Lead Environment TD on ‘Wolfman’. Between 2009 and 2011 Daniele worked as Lead Lighting TD/Look Developer on ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’, ‘X-Men: First Class’ and ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1’. More recently Daniele was Lighting Supervisor on Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated Sci Fi movie, ‘Prometheus’.
In 2012 Daniele accepted the role of CG Supervisor at MPC and is currently working on ‘The Seventh Son’.
