Online Reconstruction of 3D Objects from Arbitrary Cross-Sections


We present an algorithm that reconstructs a smooth multi-labeled 3D object from a set of its cross-sections. The cross-sections might be incomplete or noisy. Our method uses barycentric transfinite interpolation in order to create an implicit 3D function, from which a zero set is extracted.

Global Parametrization of Range Image Sets


We present a method to globally parameterize a surface represented by a set of range images. The parameterization we compute defines a manifold structure. It is seamless and globally smooth, can be aligned to geometric features and shows good quality in terms of angle and area preservation.
