Are you an expert in your discipline within our rich field of computer graphics and interactive techniques? Do you have innovative new ideas that will inspire our attendees and propel our industry forward? Are you willing to share that knowledge with an eager and inspired audience? Then you should teach a course!
For over 30 years, the SIGGRAPH Courses program has been sharing the very best of computer graphics and interactive techniques with the graphics community. Courses has always been a cornerstone of the conference, and this year is no exception. At SIGGRAPH Asia 2009, hundreds of practitioners, developers, researchers, artists, and students will attend the Courses program, to broaden and deepen their knowledge of their field, and to learn the secrets of new fields. The insights they gain shape hardware and software products, computer-animated films, and future research directions. Share your knowledge with them and influence the future of our field by presenting a course at SIGGRAPH Asia 2009!
We always need great courses, at both beginning and advanced levels, on our most popular and fundamental topics, such as:
- Computer Animation and Visual Effects Techniques
- Programming Graphics Hardware
- Mathematics of Three-Dimensional Shapes
- Simulating Living Creatures, Natural Phenomena
- Scientific Visualization
- Computational Photography and Image Processing
- Optical and Materials Physics
But courses on topics that are new to the SIGGRAPH audience are especially welcome. In fact, the SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 Courses Program is specifically seeking innovative courses exploring the theme of Creating the Future, including topics such as:
- Real-Time Computer Graphics and Simulation in Games
- Creating Feature-Quality Game FMVs
- Computer Graphics in Anime
- Interactive Digital Signage
- Wearable Computing
- Practical, Deployable Augmented Reality
- Ubiquitous Mobile Computing
- Robots Outside the Laboratory
- Or any other hot emerging topic that you want to get people excited about!
The sky is the limit. The 21st century is almost a decade old, and amazing things are happening in Japan and throughout Asia. Dazzle us with your cool new ideas.
