This work made use of the Bessel function to generate the surface. The com puter program then generated a punched tape to represent the coordinate da ta. Included were instructions to a 3-axis, continuous path, numerically controlled milling machine. While the device was capable of making a smooth surface, I decided it was best to leave the tools marks for the paths.
