Sleeping Gypsy
I have always loved the Sleeping Gypsy by Henri Rousseau in the Museum of Modern Art. I
first posed the figure and then I used the fragmentation function. In the sky the horses were
also fragmented in several steps. I used a face and combined it with a sphere to make the
moon.
Lighting was especially important because I wanted to preserve the quality of night.
This was a dream and my monster was made up with a horse's boed and a dragon's head.
In the original Rousseau used a lion.
