Artist Statement: Fairy is bringing the season of spring by colorizing the monochromatic space with saturated colors. The
trace of fairy is expressed by the diagonal stitch of the printed fabric. When the work is viewed from the
left, monochromic image can be seen, and as the view position moves to the right, colored image
emerges. Thus, this work encapsulates the time of progressing season that can be felt by moving
onefs viewing position.
I have printed the base images rendered in 3D onto the fabric. Then, the fabric is hand-stitched to create
physical creases. I feel the importance of creating artworks that cannot be digitally duplicated, by adding
physical process of hand sewing the printed fabric.
