When I make something,
I want to build it by destroying it. It is a self-portrait of my memory.
Perceiving the figure which is gradually deconstructed can be viewed
as a metaphor for the violence of aesthetic experience. A bizarre
contradiction between the lightness of translucent texture of simplified
human shapes and the cruel appearance of brutal accident provokes
a twisted essence. |
