Digital Jewelry Explorations is a collection of Armpieces and Neckpieces that explore the aesthetic beauty of unique three-dimensional wearable objects and challenge traditional adornment issues. My motivation stems from my passion for and fascination of the human body; primarily how three-dimensional forms can accentuate, define and interact with our bodies.

I'm also intrigued by the primal need to define who and what we are through the intimacy of personal adornment and how I as an artist can bring "real" meaning back into this ritualistic experience. I'm striving to create a formal visual language that speaks about the integral aspects of the environment of creation, the process of production and the modalities of wearable art in a sophisticated, technologically driven society. From concept to production this body of work is a manifestation of my desire to integrate my creative investigations with state of the art technology, specifically CAD/CAM/RP technologies. Through my work, I hope to reach a new audience of individuals; those that embrace the age old desire of personal adornment but are willing to experiment with and redefine the parameters of what personal adornment will mean to human beings in the 21st century.
