Trademarks

Whenever SIGGRAPH or SIGGRAFFITI appear in print, they should be in upper case. (Oct 27, 1982)

Logos The policy on the use of ACM SIGGAPH organizational and conference logos was approved and posted online. (April 12, 2000)

Logo Any use of the SIGGRAPH name or logo must be approved by the EC. (June 14, 2000)

New Logo To accept this logo as the new ACM SIGGRAPH organization logo, with color treatment options to be determined later. Approved May, 2003

This new graphic identity is to be used both for the organization and for future conferences. It was felt that this would eliminate the need to design a new logo each year for the conference and better unify the conference and organization. A policy needs to be drawn up regarding options an individual conference will have for treatment of the logo, such as color, and texture. There will not be an option of text font or omitting text.

Trademark We need to assure that "siggraph" is not used in a secondary domain name by someone outside of ACM SIGGRAPH. (November 10-11, 2000)

Trademark When trademark questions or issues come up, the ACM SIGGRAPH President needs to be notified immediately. (November 10-11, 2000)

To approve the revised policy on ACM SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH conference trademarks and logo usage (http://www.siggraph.org/gen-info/logos.html/policy)

(August 18, 2001)

Add the following line to the policy on ACM SIGGRAPH logo use for approved use by ACM SIGGRAPH committees or chapters:

"use on stationery, business cards, and/or membership cards." (June 12, 2002)
